When planning where to put artwork take into account the space, color accents, and mood of a room. To really get it right, the art should adorn the room and the frame should complete the art.
Choose a neutral mat that is not bright white but compliments the image. If you want to add color give the mat a color liner. The frame should not be as wide as the mat and should not distract from the artwork.
Choosing a frame depends on the artwork style and the decor of the room you are hanging the art in.
A canvas print should be reserved for oil or acrylic mediums. A canvas wrap is a more contemporary look that doesn't require a frame. A framing wrap would require a frame as the edge of the canvas is unfinished.
The trend for interior decorators is away from dark heavy frames to light and/or thinner frames.
